Charging Interface and Connector: This is the physical connection point between the AC charging station and the electric vehicle, responsible for transmitting electrical energy. The charging interface is typically designed as a standardized interface to be compatible with different brands and models of electric vehicles. The connector ensures a stable and reliable electrical connection during charging, preventing safety hazards caused by poor contact.

 

Charging Module: The charging module is the core component of the AC charging station. It is responsible for converting the input AC power into AC power suitable for charging the electric vehicle's battery and controlling parameters such as current and voltage during the charging process. The performance of the charging module directly affects charging efficiency, charging speed, and charging safety. Modern AC charging stations typically use intelligent charging modules that can automatically adjust charging parameters based on the electric vehicle's battery status and charging needs, achieving intelligent charging.

 

Metering and Billing System: The metering and billing system records the energy consumption during charging and calculates the charging fee based on a preset rate. This system typically includes components such as an energy meter, a billing controller, and a display screen, which can display information such as charging power, charging time, and charging fee in real time, allowing users to understand and monitor the charging status.

 

Control and Protection System: The control and protection system is the safety guarantee of the AC charging pile. It is responsible for monitoring various parameters during the charging process, such as current, voltage, and temperature, and promptly cutting off the power supply in case of abnormalities to prevent equipment damage or personal injury. This system typically includes multiple protection functions such as overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, and leakage protection to ensure the safe and reliable charging process.

 

Communication Module: The communication module is the bridge for data interaction between the AC charging pile and external systems (such as a charging operation management platform). Through the communication module, the charging pile can upload charging data in real time and receive remote control commands, realizing remote monitoring, management, and scheduling of the charging pile. Modern AC charging piles typically support multiple communication methods, such as Ethernet, 4G/5G, and Wi-Fi, to meet the communication needs of different scenarios.

 

Shell and Heat Dissipation System: The shell is the protective layer of the AC charging pile, responsible for protecting internal components from external environmental corrosion and damage. At the same time, the design of the shell must also consider aesthetics and practicality to improve the user experience. The heat dissipation system is responsible for dissipating the heat generated during the charging process in a timely manner to prevent overheating and malfunctions. Modern AC charging stations typically employ efficient heat dissipation designs, such as fan cooling and liquid cooling, to ensure the stability and reliability of the equipment under long-term high-load operation.
