Our Hchar 7KW DC Charger has low requirements for the power grid, supporting both single-phase 220V and three-phase 380V power grids without the need for capacity expansion and renovation like high-power DC piles. This greatly reduces installation barriers and upfront costs. Due to its small size and light weight, it can be used for household and residential parking lots. At home, we can plug it in to charge our new energy vehicles. The 7kW DC charging can fully charge the electromagnetic field within 4-6 hours. Compared to the mainstream 7KW AC charger, our DC charger charges the battery directly, eliminating the need for an on-board charger (OBC) conversion process. Using our charger results in higher charging efficiency and speeds up by 20% -30%, far surpassing AC chargers of the same power. At the same time, we can also operate chargers in commercial parking lots, public parking lots, hotel parking lots and other places, and connect with the OCPP1.6J protocol operation platform. This way, we can see the actual basic parameters of our charging guns on our mobile phones and websites. At the same time, we can remotely control and manage charging functions, providing a charging speed that is 20% faster than AC slow charging for multiple vehicles, making turnover services more convenient and improving parking space utilization and operational efficiency. From research and development to delivery

 

Our 7KW DC Charger operates continuously for 120 hours in a high-temperature chamber with a humidity of 80% and a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius. It continuously monitors the real-time data of the charger and makes adjustments based on the data. The charger operates under high temperature and humidity conditions for 5 days to ensure rigorous testing and experimentation during the development phase of each product. After completing high temperature and high humidity tests, we often insert the charging gun head into the CCS1 or CCS2 interface to check for looseness, aging of copper pillars, ignition, and other issues. Each verification is a guarantee of the product. In extremely cold weather, work for 72 hours in an environment of minus 20 degrees Celsius, conduct a comprehensive inspection of product quality, test under various conditions such as charging temperature, and finally deliver to the user.

FAQ

 

A 7kW DC charging station and a regular 7kW household AC charging station have the same power. Where is the speed?

The "on-board charger (OBC)" is omitted in the middle of the core fast.The working principle is different: ordinary AC piles output AC power, which needs to be converted into DC power by the vehicle's own OBC to charge the battery. The efficiency (usually around 90-95%) and power of this conversion process are limited by the "charging capacity" of your car's OBC.

The advantage of a 7kW DC pile is that it directly outputs DC power and the current enters the battery directly. Therefore, its 7kW power can be used almost 100% for charging. For vehicles with an OBC power of less than 7kW (such as many plug-in hybrid or early electric vehicles with an OBC of only 3.5kW), using a 7kW DC pile can increase the charging speed by more than twice. Even for vehicles with an OBC of 7kW, the actual energy loss of DC charging is lower, and the charging time is usually 20-30 minutes shorter than that of AC charging.

Do I have high requirements for the power grid and wiring when I want to install one in my private parking space? Will it be much more expensive than installing communication posts?

The installation requirements are similar to those of high-end 7kW AC piles, but the overall cost will be slightly higher.

Grid requirements: Similar to 7kW AC piles, it is usually necessary to apply for 220V single-phase electricity (some models support 380V three-phase electricity), which has a much smaller load impact on the community grid than fast charging piles with tens/hundreds of kilowatts, and generally does not require expensive grid capacity expansion and renovation. But it is necessary for a professional electrician to inspect the line from the electricity meter to the parking space, ensuring that the wire diameter (usually recommended to be no less than 6 square millimeters of copper core cable) and the circuit breaker can meet the continuous high current requirements.

Cost comparison: The price of the 7kW DC pile equipment itself is higher than that of the same power AC pile. However, as it does not rely on expensive and bulky OBCs inside the vehicle, from the perspective of the overall system cost of "vehicle+pile", it may be more economical for fleets or specific vehicle models. In terms of installation cost, it mainly depends on the distance of wiring and is not significantly different from installing AC piles.

What kind of car is most suitable for using a 7kW DC charging station? Can my car be used?

It is the "charging artifact" for the following types of car models:

Plug in hybrid vehicles: With a small battery capacity (usually 8-20kWh), they can be fully charged in 1-3 hours using a 7kW DC power station, which is much faster than an AC power station. They can make full use of short parking times to replenish energy multiple times, greatly improving the pure electric travel experience.

Pure electric micro cars/small cars: such as Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, Chery Little Ant, etc., with a battery capacity of about 20-30kWh, can be fully charged in about 3-5 hours using a 7kW DC pile, making it very suitable as a fast energy point for shared cars, time-sharing rentals, or second home cars.

Older or economical electric vehicles with lower OBC power: If your car's OBC power is only 3.3 kW or lower, using a 7 kW DC pile is the most effective and economical way to increase charging speed.

Operational light electric vehicles, such as park logistics vehicles, sanitation vehicles, etc., have moderate battery capacity and can be quickly recharged at night or during breaks to improve attendance.
