A: 20KW (more accurately 19.8KW) is the iconic power rating for high-power AC charging stations in the United States. It typically requires a 240V three-phase power supply and 80A current support, making it one of the top power sources for household AC charging in the United States. Its charging speed is 2.7 times that of a regular 7.2KW (32A) charging station, providing significantly faster charging experience for large capacity batteries such as pickups and large SUVs.
Q: How can this dual gun charger charge two cars simultaneously? How to divide power?
A: Its core is "dynamic power sharing". The total power limit of the charger is 19.8KW, but it is not a fixed allocation.
Intelligent allocation: When only one car is charging, it can enjoy all 19.8KW of power exclusively. When the second car is inserted, the system will automatically and dynamically allocate the total power to two cars (e.g. A car is 12KW, B car is 7.2KW).
Full adjustment: When a vehicle approaches full capacity and the required power decreases, the system will automatically allocate more power to another vehicle to maximize the utilization of the total capacity.
Manual setting (if supported): Some models can set the current limit or charging priority for each gun through the app.
